Set Git to track a new SVN branch
Setup your branch in SVN as normal git-svn fetch (to get the history that points to your new branch) git checkout —track -b localbranch remotes/remotebranch

To open something via the terminal using its default handler - just type ‘open filename’ and watch OS X use its magic to open whatever you point it at. This tip works for the stuff you’d expect like .html files, but will also work for .dmg image files and invoke the disk image mounter.
